STOURBRIDGE BRANCH - AUGUST 2015

MALCOLM'S REPORT

Although rather delayed due to other commitments, here is the August Report of the Meeting which I am pleased to say still continues to maintain our very high standard of entertainment, even though at this time of year with members being away on holiday. It was great to see Steve Willetts at the meeting who I was talking to on the first Tuesday of the month at the tuition meetings at the Penn Bowling Club (where I have not been for some time).  I suggested he visited the Stourbridge GFS Branch and sure enough he was at the August Meeting which was well attended.  At the end of August (Sunday before the Bank Holiday) I was assisting to raise funds for the Shropshire Theatre Organ Trust who were based in the Craft marquee. While I was busking outside, Danny one of the S.T.O.T. committee members, assisted me by playing the washboard. I was going to be on Monday but the weather was too wet (see photo).

Very many thanks for all who attended, and to Chris from the Ashwood Pub for the hospitality and Ave and Christine for the PA and not forgetting Matthew Richards on keyboard and Geoff Salminine on washboard.

That's all for now.  Turned out nice again.   Roving Report Malcolm Palmer
